Residence (20 bed) Houses: Ladysmith, Cowichan, Qualicum, Powell River and Nanoose Houses

VIU's group housing complex consists of five buildings or "houses" arranged in a village-like setting. Each building contains 20 single bedrooms, with semi-private bathrooms shared between two students of the same gender.

Students living in each house share a common kitchen area equipped with shared freezers, microwaves and stoves. Each student has their own locking cupboard within the kitchen.

All buildings have free wireless internet access. Each bedroom is fully furnished with a single bed, desk, wardrobe and small refrigerator. Bedrooms are wired for cable, telephone and high speed internet.

Coin operated laundry facilities with irons and ironing boards are available in the nearby Community Centre building.

Students living in this co-ed housing complex can choose the "Quiet House" option.
